Firm Principal Richard Edwards was reared and educated in Michigan, taking a B.S. in industrial relations from Michigan State. After two intense decades in advertising and marketing, including private label and corporate sales, Richard and wife Charlene founded Whitney Edwards Design in 1985.

Firm Principal, Charlene Whitney Edwards brings to her position as Art Director 25 years of experience in advertising and graphic design. Formerly a professor of Graphic Design at McNeese University and Miami University, her work has frequently appeared in major design publications. Like husband Richard, Charlene is Michigan State alum, where she took her B.F. A. and M F. A. in graphic design.

Office Manager Debbie Collison is a graduate of Hood College in Frederick, MD, where she studied history and political science. Formerly a mucky-muck in the corporate world and more recently a non-profit tree-hugger, Debbie uses her business, writing, organizational, and design skills to keep the studio on track.

Barbi Christopher, has been a Graphic Designer with Whitney Edwards since 1989. Her work has frequently appeared in many design publications, as well as numerous print quality awards. Drawing on her B.F.A. from Ringling School of Design in Sarasota, Florida, Barbi has established herself as a designer with extensive stylistic flexibility.

Merely a mutt and barely eight weeks old, Rascal arrived on our doorstep in 2002, delivered by the Talbot County Humane Society (a Whitney Edwards client). Our closest guess to her possible pedigree is “Auggie Doggie.” When not demanding bones from Pete the mail carrier, this Canine Coordinator can be found supervising office activities from her custom leather couch.
